Those Are Some BIG FEET!

I never saw the pad of a Grizzly Bear's feet before. Wow, they're huge and look at those claws. Now I know I was wise to never go trekking in Alaska. One swipe and you're a grease spot.

yeah the paws are huge BUT take a look at those claws!!! WOW. Those are some serious weapons right there. Beautiful and deadly.

Never saw feet from that perspective, but I do remember being in a traffic jam in Yellowstone because a grizzly was near the highway and drivers stopped to look. Huge even from where I sat high and away in a pickup truck. That's as close as I care to get ever!

We visited Churchill several years ago on a polar bear expedition. We saw a lot of them as they were crossing over to the Hudson. We did come close up and personal with a polar bear paw print, that paw print was huge too! I fit both my feet in it and that's with big snow boots on! A force to be reckoned with indeed!

It always amazes me when you get a perspective on the animals and their parts. Totally different experience. One of the reasons I enjoy the zoo shows is that you get such a better idea of the animals and their size. Just seeing someone hold a polar bear's paw during an anesthetized examination was insightful......
