Looked it up. It's by Dave R. Stoecklein. Titled "Hero Of The Storm." Can buy it on the internet.

That's ranching. It's a life and it's your income. You go look for them in the snow and rain and ice, you call the vet out and wait for him, pick up calves and warm them up in the pickup, haul hay through a foot of snow, break ice on the pond every day.

It's tons of fun! LOL!!! Thse calves seem to be born in the worst weather. Our cattle were almost 20 miles away, which didn't make things better. It's hard and like this photo shows, you are responsible for them and they need help sometimes.

Notice when you see cattle if they have a lot of trees or spaces where they can get some shelter from the weather. I get crazy when I see cows that don't!

Or cattle that or underfed. That's hard to see too.

@Foxxee Thank you so much for sharing. I just loved it and immediately thought of my son. He is studying to be a Large Animal Vet and he has cows and horses that he does so much for. I ordered him a frame copy for Christmas. Will arrive by the 16th.

It's perfect for someone owning cows and horses and a large animal veterinarian, too.

Thank you ladies and I will post a pic when it arrives and it will be the last gift he opens. I'm saving it for last. I just love it and I thought the same thing @Kachina624 about hanging it one day in his office.
