Has Anyone Been Banned From Proboard?

I went to Proboards and was informed that I had been banned. No explanation, no previous warning, nothing.

In the past, I had defended Pro, even recommended it. I regret that now. It's not what we were lead to expect and, I apologize for recommending it.

I wish you guys could talk to someone. I have found the Mods to be very nice. Maybe it was a mistake? Did you break any rules?

It's not true that there wasn't a previous warning. It was previously stated that anyone who posted about that subject again was subject to banning.

@tansy , @occasionalrain the ban was for continuing to discuss a previously banned topic. The ban is temporary. You'll be able to log back in on Monday at 12:01 am.

Oh this makes me sad. What the heck would cause people to get banned? Would be nice to know so we don't talk about it.

Where was it posted, I didn't see it.

I did see that the thread was closed, but I hadn't posted on it. So, I just posted a thread that the topic was on the Q for anyone interested and left. When I returned later, it had been closed too. No matter, I wasn't interested in posting on it.

I haven"t a clue, since I have only spent a few minutes there today. But there was a current event making headlines in the news today so perhaps the subject dealt with that.

Thanks for the response, @Icegoddess. I appreciate it. This thread could have been avoided however if we'd received a message saying we were in a time out, instead of you have been banned from this forum.

I won't comment on this thread again.

I was a Mod there and got banned for a few days. I has no way to find out what happened, but I kept trying to sign in.

So, after a few days, I got in and asked what happened. i was told I was no longer a Mod, but that no one banned me. I was no longer needed because I closed my account which I never did. I did have a disagreement with another Mod, before I was banned.

If a person is banned, there is a history of it.

IMO, I think PB has a problem in their system.

To the best of my knowledge, a Mod cannot delete your account if you ask them to. So, if you ask to be removed, they would have to ban you to get you off of their forums. I could be wrong about this. I was only there for about two weeks.
