Last week I went to the grocery store and paid over $200 for my order _ I have never paid that much but we were coming home from a vacation and the fridge and pantry were empty. Today I went and it was $176 for a weeks order. WHAT! I never shop at Publics because it is too expensive but I have been shopping at Sweetbay because they usually have lower prices and the store is only about a half mile away. Well, it is not in my budget to spend this much on food and I feel they have raised the prices since the snowbirds have arrived so I went to Winn Dixie to check it out and found that not only do they have much lower prices but they also have a discount card for their regular customers who live here full time.It is about a 20 min drive but will be well worth the trip. They had a BOGO on pork ribs too so I got some to put in sauerkraut.I have never been one to cut out coupons either but I am going to have to start - what ever it takes to keep the grocery bill down- I told DH he is going to have to eat more beans!
