One of my neighbor's video cams caught two stags fighting and posted it. Here's a still. I always wonder what they are doing when they don't think humans are watching.

They fight over the females. It's the "rut." Fawns will be born in the Spring.

@Mindy D That's interesting. I recall a poster named home decor that lives in Florida posting a few pics of an entire front yard of deer in a subdivision. They weren't fighting, just standing. It's like they took up almost every inch of the yard lol. She still posts on these forums sometimes.

Florida is full of deer. It's not unusual to find them in sub-divisions near woods. They are often seen along the roadways.

HomeDecor1 lives near a very large wooded area. She has lots of wildlife around.

@Mindy D You misunderstood me. When I stated that there must be good eats, I was referring to the diet of the bucks since they look so robust and strong. You had referred to @MamaWick's posts which show the love and feeding of deer.

I am ethically opposed to hunting.
