@Nuttmeg Can you tell me what are the benefits of owning a tablet? I am serious as I do not know and was actually interested in finding out more about tablets. I do know they are smaller and I assume you set up just like your laptop but I have no idea how long it runs, etc. Thanks.

i have the fire 10" and i use mostly for reading e-books. If i'm going to babysit the grands, i take it there to keep up on things. i have spectrum app. on it and can watch tv if i go out on the deck.(watch news while we eat dinner, on deck). if you are prime member and buy from them, they load some of you info so you don't have to.

A tablet to me is like a large smartphone. The Fire tablet uses apps just like your phone from Amazon's app store.

A Fire tablet will update any apps to the device and even update the OS automatically. It just needs to be connected wirelessly to your network and the internet.

When Amazon has a pop-up sale like this, I buy very quickly, I am not sure sure how long this sale will last. I order a device and then look for unboxing and reviews on YouTube.

I just set up my tablet tonight. I have to wait until it charges. brought the Fire 10 HD Plus. This one is much faster than the 2019 tablet. Set up took me about 2 minutes. This is a great device and look for a sale Black Friday or Cyber Monday on Amazon.

The company offers current owners of a tablet 20% off and a trade-in.

I don't see a Fire 10 on HSN today for $99, only the Fire 8. Amazon has one for $99.

Amazon usually has an excellent sale in December where you can trade in your older one if you want an upgrade.

Yep I do this every year. I trade in my least favorite Fire - I have 3 - and get a new one for about $49. We'll see if the price increases appreciably this year.
