I use the Google Password Manager. Simplifies my life.

I am Old School when it comes to password management. DH and I each have a small address book (2" x3") that we keep passwords and account #s in. When info changes or is no longer needed I paste a blank address label over entry and make changes. My most recent tablets have the feature that once pw is entered you can access with just a touch.

LOL .... I have been trying to change some saved passwords, but I need to sign into my Microsoft acct first to prove I am me. Unfortunately, I have no idea what my current password is.

I don't use keychain, but I do have the passwords stored on my hard drive. Heck, if the computer crashes I can get new passwords (though I also have them written down).

I don't use "the cloud" for much. If it helps, go for it.

I'm not sure what security there is anymore on the internet, except anonymity. And frequent monitoring of cc accounts.

We use Dashlane at work. I was thinking of getting a personal account as well. I currently use Apple Keychain and I don't feel completely safe using it, but I had to do something. It was getting ridiculous.

I would never store passwords online. They could be hacked or you could forget the password to access them! I have mine written in a safe spot.

Dashlane and 1Password get good reviews from the tech publications.

Personal use: we are probably going with Apple Keychain. Reviews say not the best but better than other options and better than doing nothing. I don't mind paying for Dashlane but leaning to Apple system.

We got a security alert that a certain PW may be compromised. 20 years ago most of us used PW multiple times. This alert showed sites that I don't even remember setting up a PW. But now days you cant visit or shop with out setting up accounts.

PW: Never use any word that is found in the dictionary. Should be a least 12 characters and better is 14 or more. Lots of suggestions in a search of the subject.

I keep all passwords in a small note card book...name, contact, phone number, password etc.

My husband has no idea how to run a computer and so I try to keep it simple for him just in case he needs info from the computer..somone would have to get into each account for him.

Most of my passwords are for our business.

Along with the hard copy the passwords are also stored on line.

Back in the day, my PW were a few variations of "dog's name misspelled". Nobody ever got that.

I have them written down---but not in any order which is really horrible as then---I have to get new ones as a result of my own personal chaos----makes me crazy!!!! Need to get that in order------

I cannot imagine inputting my passwords into a program to manage them. When that gets hacked, there go all your passwords.

i have a book that i ordered from amazon for passwords and account information. it works well for me and i feel better NOT having my passwords stored online or in a cloud or in an online document.

@Lipstickdiva - This is exactly what I was going to say. No way are DH and I ever letting someone else "manage" our passwords. I don't care how safe these companies say they are; we've seen too many security breaches to believe that.

Just like the Cloud; even they have been breached and what happens to all the data people have stored there? No, thanks. Most of the time you aren't even alerted about a breach until months (or years) after.

What boggles my mind is businesses, especially those dealing with clients' personal data, who store their information in the Cloud. As a former colleague said "one-stop shopping for the hacker".

We do our own backups and manage our own passwords.
