Sneaky Little Trick...

Well, it seems like you may get free shipping on all items during their 'free shipping and handling day', but you will be paying more for the item. I just checked on a few clearance items I thought I would purchase when there was a free shipping day, and the prices on all of the items I had been considering have increased quite a bit.

Bottom Line: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I bought a pair of readers on lunchtime special for $9 something. Same readers were on LS a couple of days ago at the same price, I check LS once in a while. Couldn't resist with free shipping.

Yesterday I had to buy a pair of readers at CVS because I forgot mine. They were not as nice as Prive Revaux and even with my extra bucks and other coups I wished I didn't have to buy them. All of my PR readers have held up well.

I have Amazon Prime and some times, not always it may be a bit more. I realize I am paying for super fast delivery and excellent customer service. Maybe if the Q provided better service we could deal with it.

Just purchased a few items, having waited for the free shipping.

Prices are exactly as they were 2 days ago. Maybe some prices were raised, but certainly not all.

The sheets I had on my wish list didn't increase in price, so I'm happy with the free shipping.

@World Traveler I'm happy to hear you and some others didn't observe any increase in prices, but that's not what I experienced with a few clearance items I had been watching. So, for you to say, 'definitely' nothing unusual going on, but for me it is. I'm only stating a fact about what I'm experiencing. I must not be the only one because several people have hearted my post.

I have a purse in my wish list from Radleys of London and the price is lower than it was when I put it in there. I also have a pair of earrings, I've been eyeing that are the same price. I think it must be some things. Regardless of free shipping or not; that doesn't motivate me to purchase or not. If I want it and can get it, I do. If I am on the fence, I stick it in the wish list and then wait to decide.

@ciao_bella I had your experience with BL window candles. They went up by 20%, which was more than the S&H. They might have been a TSV when I I placed the advanced order. The other things on my wish list didn't change in price, but they were mostly sold out.

Yes, that is what the do. The item I was going to order went from $45 to $51 and change on free shipping to pay for the shipping. Don't want it that bad. Can easily afford it but that's bs.

The set of 2 D & C henleys that I ordered actually went down in price + the free shipping so I'm really happy!
