What isn't "rocket science" to you? Silly question I know....

Perhaps IT is plain old common sense, and so, in that case, now-a-days, it just may be rocket science!

That expression goes back...50?...years. It's not rocket science to figure out it's meaning.

I think really the only people who can legitimately tout this phrase are those who actually build rockets. Now THAT'S what I'd call the real science.

Funny--my BIL was/is a rocket scientist-----helped put Curiosity in space, just a few years ago.

Many times the phrase, it doesn't take a rocket scientist.... is substituted for.......it doesn't take a brain surgeon....

I don't think the OP was asking for the definition of the phrase.

I think she was asking for an example where people use the phrase.

It's not rocket science.

Funny thing is, I have a cousin who IS a rocket scientist. He's absolutely brilliant but without a lick of common sense. We keep telling his 5th wife she's going straight to heaven for putting up with him.

My child has a doctorate in physics. To me, that's rocket science.

Most everything else isn't, even though it can seem like it is Lol.

I worked at a DOD facility that was populated by real rocket scientists (EEs, Physicists, Mathematicians). Very bright people but frequently no common sense.

I use that phrase. It means that something is so clear and easy to understand that you should not have to think about it.

Well I don't even understand what the original post is trying to say. So I guess to me that is rocket science...? Completely beyond my ken.
