Another disappointing trip to Walmart. As usual, out of a lot of things. Couldn't get a dozen eggs, they only had packs of 2 dozen, I wanted a pack of loose hot sausage to make patties, nope, didn't have it. Cat food I wanted, nope. Frozen breakfast food pretty much wiped out. I do shop at Wegman's, too, but there are a couple thngs that Walmart carries that I can't get there, especially in the pet food area.

It isn't only Walmart in my area. Troubling shortage of beef and chicken in all stores.

I have not had any issues finding things I need but I don't do Wal-Mart for my groceries.

The Walmart stores in my area are having staff shortages, not a shortage of products. For instance, their milk cases are always almost empty, but all of the milk is sitting toward the back just waiting to be put in the display cases where the customer can reach in to get it. It is very frustrating to see the milk I want, but cannot get it.

I have been doing the online for pickup at Walmart. And I do both, pickup and go to the store to shop. Online, I can put thing in my cart and the cart never disappears. That way I can see if my items are in stock or not. I too am frustrated with items not being in stock and there is always something that is not in stock. I have enjoyed the pickup feature which I initially thought was not needed but now I like it...let them get the stuff off the top shelf, lift heavy stuff and find thing that are in the store but I can find when I look for them.

I do the curbside pickup at WM. Usually everything I order is in stock except for canned Libby's Pure Pumpkin. This seems to happen every year about this time....canned pumpkin goes mia.

I don't like the lack of check outs. It's either self checkout or stand in line of 50 people at the "speedy" checkout which is now for under 20 items.

I don't do Walmart for groceries - the shelves have always been poorly stocked, especially compared to a supermarket. I've learned not to go there expecting to find a specifc item because there's less than a 50% chance I'll find it.

I don't know why they can't do a better job stocking. If they want to be a supemarket, then act like one.

I haven't been to walmart in a longtime, but i do prefer target. and i just discovered a big lots real close to me that i love for little things like home cleaning supplies, toothpaste, toilet paper etc. so thats my new go to store. i go to target for some food stuff, frozen things etc..

My husband and I both noticed shortages not on in the grocery store, but in CVS as well.

The shelves aren't stocked probably because they are short staffed, like a lot of places are.

Also, they might not be getting the supply in.

Every register in the self-checkout area at the WM near me has card skimmers.....it has been reported to the "manager" and yet they are still there. Inside job, perhaps? A neighbor has had over $5k drained from her checking account due to this. Has been going on for weeks. Many people on the ;ext door app have reported having their money stolen or credit card fraud via those skimmers. Some WM stores seem to be run smoothly and efficiently. The store closest to our neighborhood isn't one of them. The next closest is too far to be practical.

I buy more fresh produce than anything else....I did the Kroger pickup for a long time when the initial lockdown began and loved it, but I prefer to pick out my own fresh produce. Badly bruised bananas and limp celery is no bueno for me. I guess we may need to start doing it again if things continue to ramp up in our area.

@Duckncover Has anyone notified the police? This seems like a criminal matter that they would be better equipped to investigate?

My experience and observation with WM has been most of the employees don't do anything except stand around, play on their phones, or yuk it up with other employees.I actually had one tell me "this place sucks. I hate it. Have a blessed day." This was after I asked her if there was someone who could retrieve a bottle of Karo from the back of the top shelf. Never did get it. I am surprised WM is out of so many things since they order in such huge quantities. At my store, there seems to be no shortage of workers, just shortage of work being done,

Yes the police have been notified, from what I have been told. Apparently card skimmers are not a priority. Used to be these skimmers were usually just at gas pumps; now they have expanded to WM self checkouts...I would be careful at anyplace you are scanning your card yourself; check the slot before inserting the card.

It's not even just WM or just supermarkets. So many kinds of items seem to disappear occasionally.

I'd like to think things will get much better in a few weeks, but I don't feel at all sure they will.

I order on line ,because several times have gone into the store ,they do not have what i want,also i to do not like the check out.

I prefer to shop in stores. I am not an online shopper. However, the pandemic changed that. We were forced to use online sources. The bulk of our food items came from Target and Walmart which I still use on occasion. I prefer selecting every item especially meat and produce myself in a grocery store. The past two weeks we have begun limiting our trips to stores to just the essentials, but they have had what we needed.

@Anonymous032819 No, it has always been that way - at the two or three stores in my area. I was there the other day and it was bad but no worse than usual.
