New Scam E-mail

FYI...I received a scam from Amazon wanting personal info. I called Amazon so they are aware of it. Don't open it just delete it.

Thanks so much for alerting to people with this.

The best practice is just don't open any email from Amazon. If you have a question just go to your Amazon account and get the information there.

There are so few emails I open at all any more.

It's not new. I get these, and more, every day. Most of the time my spam filter catches them, but sometimes they slip thru and into my inbox.

You can't discount everything you get, but always check for yourself. I received an e-mail from Amazon that had no details, only a sign in code. I thought -- what the heck is this.

Before deleting it, I contacted my legitimate number for Ammy Tech/Security. I barely said two words, when the guy said -- 'I just sent that to you, you have a hacker, or hackers crawling all over your account here. You need to take immediate action.'

He then told me the steps I needed to take, not just on Amazon, but with all my online accounts, starting with my server ID, first, then PW's everywhere. What a mess.

Just sayin', they may send you an e-mail, or text, if you have your cell phone number listed with them. Just check with them first before you do anything.
