Noticed this today on my Informed Delivery daily notification Sound like they'll be phasing it out.

@Kachina624. No. They are phasing out that app, but you will still be receiving emails about your informed delivery and can sign in to check on it at USPS.com.

I take it to mean just on THOSE formats.

I have Apple stuff , so, shouldn't affect me

Oh ok thanks for the clarification. I only just look at my email. I like to know whats coming albeit most of it never makes it into the house anyway, straight to the recycle bin.

I’ve been getting the original format and resigned up yesterday to get the new version. What an inconvenience! Many more steps to sign in and not liking it when I get there. It’s cluttered and confusing. I’m hoping it gets better.

I get a daily email. Don't have to go to an app, just see it when I'm reading my other emails.

Adding, I get e-mails too but I go in through my phone.

@MamaWick I interpret this as being the first step in phasing it out. It's so inaccurate, they might as well.

Last Saturday I had a Q pkg that tracking showed was in AZ. Nothing about it on Informed Delivery. However it was delivered and sat in my curbside mailbox all night because I didn't know it was there. This happens frequently.

@Kachina624 It'a just for the mobile apps. You still get "email" alerts for your mail as well as on their website.

I don't have the app, but I don't think Informed Delivery is going away. They're phasing out the app, not the service.

@Kachina624 That could be the PO fault. My "packages" show up on the package section (tells me I have a package) on the website after it has been scanned.

@sann Informed Delivery is not going away. It's just the app that's going away. You can still use Informed Delivery.

The Postal Service will discontinue one of its two mobile applications that offer Informed Delivery, the free feature that allows customers to preview their incoming mail.

The app that is being discontinued is a standalone application that only offers users access to their Informed Delivery information. Among Informed Delivery’s 38 million users, about 750,000 use this app.

This app will be removed from all download platforms — including the Android, iOS and Windows app stores — this summer. Users will receive notifications about the app being discontinued.

Customers will still be able to access Informed Delivery notifications through their mobile devices using the regular USPS Mobile app, as well as through their email and usps.com.

You could have a local area post office problem. My Informed Delivery is rarely incorrect.
