Storm Forecast .... it's started

Not long ago - there was a severe storm warning - but sky looked bright.

All of a sudden - a bright / deep blue/green sky and a torrent of rain very loudly peltng against my living room windows

From my viewpoint up on the 10th floor - it's fantastic to watch the rain and the changing sky!

Same here! I thought I was seeing things when the sky looked green with rolling black clouds. Never noticed that before!

The sun was shining here in Central NJ and then ominous dark cluds rolled in, then lightning and pouring rain started.

I'm in CT...it's sunny now...but I heard we might get storms...wonder if your weather is on it's way here?

I just planted some small window boxes and maybe will take them in, as the flowers get trashed in heavy rains..Going to go check Accuweather again.

Just want to point out us folks out here in the hinterlands have no idea what the TZ bridge might be or what waterway it crosses. We could try to help you get it renamed if we just knew what and where. LOL

I never get up that way - I didn't know they changed the name! We all call it the TZ!

(I think the last time I went across the TZ was when we went to bring my sister's kids home from summer camp in the early 1990s!)

@On It It's north of the NYC area where the op posted from. I posted as it was in her area. Otherwise I wouldn't have.

@ALRATIBA The name was changed by the Governor after his father.

@proudlyfromNJ Thank you! Sitting out here in the arid Southwest, I have been to NYC several times but did not recognize that name. It is so much fun to learn about everyone's life in different parts of our country. Please know I was jokingly trying to piece together where you were.

ETA: When I lived in NYC, some friends drove me up to Tarrytown and West Point.

Because that occurred in 1970, I suppose I was on the original Tappan Zee Bridge.

I always dread storms,because I seem to loose power.especially summertime when its hot as heck and humidity is thick
