He's had the restaurant since 2011 and has always helped in it. You pay what you can afford even if it's nothing. I'm from the area.

We "sort of" became acquainted with him a few years ago when his son played football at Notre Dame. On numerous occasions, his seats were near ours. My husband was active in NJ alumni events, and JBJ donated his time on fundraisers. He was very generous with both his time and money.

He has beautiful eyes.

I have seen him numberous times talking about his place and working there -- what they do and what it means to him and his wife/family.

Each time, I fall in love with him all over again.

Maybe, in some aspect of his life he is a pain in the backside, but on this, he cannot be faulted.

Not to mention he seems a happy soul and sweet person when he's being interviewed.

Gotta love him.

Thanks for the picture. JBJ is just a very good man. I admire him and what he does with his time, money and compassion. And make no mistake, he has had to deal with some very hard things with his daughter. He is just a great human being as well as a very talented singer. Bless him and give him strength.

I have loved JBJ forever. Not only is he gorgeous & super talented but he is extremely charitable & has a big heart. He has been running the Soul Kitchens for years.He's there a lot washing dishes & serving meals.

Last summer Jon opened up a food pantry in eastern Long Island. He has put up millions of dollars to build homes for the homeless.He has also foot the bill for many underprivileged kids to go college.

JBJ is an example of giving back in a world where there is much selfishness.

I did not realize his younger son was already old enough for college. (time passes all too quickly) Does he ever look like his father.

I hope all is well with you and your family. Has DrummerBoy made you a MIL yet?

This year is one I'd like to forget. My husband contracted Covid almost 11 months ago and is still recuperating. (he was hospitalized for months) It has been a real struggle. I spent a good part of the year having treatments, but am happy to say, if all remains stable, I'm off them until August when I have another evaluation.

It's also a year of uncelebrated events; I turned 70 and next month is our 50th anniversary. (no surprise destination trip planned) Hopefully before too long we will mark these occasions with a little hoopla.

Jake was accepted to Syracuse University in February 2020, the excited son shared a cute snap with his dad on Instagram.

Jake also uploaded a pic with his famous father when he graduated high school in June 2020. “Congrats, everyone,” he captioned the post.

My Drummer Boy and gf are content to keep things status quo, for now. They're happy and doing well, thank goodness.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. I had no idea.

I will keep good thoughts for both of you. I do hope you are stable and get a good report in August.

Happy early 50th anniversary! What a wonderful milestone! I, too, hope you can mark your birthday and anniversary with a little celebration, toasting to good health for both of you.

In my 40's and 50's I washed dishes for my church. Heavy pots but I am not a good cook so it was a good fit. We did it once a week. I am a small tiny women who just turned 60 so I gave it up. Maybe he is listening to Livin' on a Prayer while he is sudsing up.

There are many celebrities who give to charities and causes they believe in. Like Bon Jovi they do it without fan fare and publicity but quietly and with care and sincerity.

I respect and admire those who give much of themselves to help others. Yes, they have the finances but there are many who have far more and give little to nothing back.
