Tragic Breakfast

Saw this today. 2nd class menu of the S.S. Titanic. Not sure if this was the last breakfast, but if it was....it was memorial. Boilded Hominy and Grilled Ox

That doesn't look so tragic. Lots of choices. The ox is odd, yes. And what are Yarmouth Bloaters? Otherwise, again lots of choices.

Just read a bit this morning that Mr. Hershey (chocolate) had pre paid $300 for a stateroom on the Titanic, but ended up sailing on another ship sooner because of business back home that needed his attention.

Imagine what the first class menu had on it.

Thank you posters for the menus. Interesting bits of history.

My father's parents both emigrated from Ireland. My dad often had fried kippered herring with his breakfast on the weekends. Always oatmeal and tea during the week. My brothers and I never had the herring!

I saw the Titanic exhibit a few years ago. Well done. It was the salvaged everyday items in the display that brought tears to my eyes.

Those menus are very interesting. Being the picky eater I am, I probably wouldn't try many of the things. I'm good with sausage and potatoes, though.
