Do You Remember.............

the song "Go You Chicken Fat, Go" by Robert Preston? I was just cleaning chicken thighs to make chicken and noodles and all of a sudden started singing that song. When I was in high school, our PE teacher would play that at the beginning of the hour (the song is about 8 1/2 minutes long) and we would do the exercises in the song; touch toes, sit ups, etc. Maybe I should not admit it, but the song came out in 1961, but that was a few years before I was in high school. Maybe I should start listening to it again and let that be my morning exercise program. (Although I doubt I could keep up with it now.) @wismiss I never heard of that song but it's amazing how a song can transport us back in time and provide so many memories!

Yes! I had one of those small LP records and would play it every morning for exercise back in the day. 😁

OMG that is horrid. So thankful we never had to listen to or exercise to this dreadful "song" in my school. P.E. and Gym Class was bad enough without that drivel. Gawd, I hope it doesn't get stuck in my head now, LOL!

No, never heard that song , however I did see a new commercial today that used the background song " Make the World Go Away " . I remember hearing that tune sung by Eddie Arnold along with Days of Wine and Roses . Used to love to hear those 2 songs

Yep, the gym teacher played it and we thought it was hilarious. I looked up all the words a few years ago.
