SOURCES FOR PRINTING CHECKS?

I'm down to my last book of checks and checked the prices .... the company that does it through my bank seems "secure" enough but their prices have jumped by about 50% !!!

So, being the good price-checker that I am, I've looked at other sources ....and all I can say is WOW. Lots of companies print checks -- even Walmart! -- and prices vary considerably. I googled a search for best check printing, and it even suggested that a local print shop might be a good choice offerring speedy printing.

So ...... now I'm thinking about account SECURITY. Yes, many of us use less checks than we used to, and anyone who we send a check to has our routing number and account number right there on the check ..... but how secure would you be getting checks from a business supply store or an online stationery store?

The last batch I had printed were in 2015, so this isn't a frequent purchase.

What are your thoughts about this .... and any place you especially liked .... and for what reasons?

I just had checks and address labels printed from Walmart. Cheap.

I recently ordered checks. I just go thru my bank.

I feel like that’s safe because they have all my information anyway.

Last time I bought checks I got them through Costco. I was writing checks constantly paying all my mom's bills. I bought enough that I'll probably never have to order checks again. Especially with electronic payments.

I never had a security issue or had a check rejected.

Ya'll pay for personal checks from your own bank????

Personal checks at my bank are FREE!!!! I got enough to last me till the end of the year & maybe beyond.

Your bank and walmart are using the same Check printing source. The only difference you will see is the price and maybe the check options.

The last checks I ordered were through Costco. Never had any issues.

Current catalog sells checks....starting around $13.50 for a box of 100.

i get my checks free from my credit union.

LOVE Current for anything I order that is paper, from heavy weight beautiful Christmas paper, birthday wrapping, and my animal print checks.

I've used them over 30 years easily! No issue what so ever.

Current is the company that used to do all of those adorable animal occasion cards!

I get the blue free bank checks. I'd never payfor checks! I don't think I've ever had to pay for checks.

I don't bank at a bank, but my checks are free, too. I write maybe 6 a year.

Since I don't write many checks, I go to my bank web site and order them and that's that. They are just checks, I don't care what they look like, and it's secure and easy. And that means a lot to me.

You do get what you pay for when cutting corners. If one doesn't feel safe to get checks someplace other than their bank, then why would you???

Save your coins till you can order them from the place you trust (your bank).

@mimomof4 how could you possibly be sure of this? That they are using the same source? After all, there are so many options.

Didn't you just say they cost way too much? What difference oes it make whether the bank linkis you to another site? Thought your issue was "cost?"
