DD Said I Have Crocus Out.

DD went out to pick up branches on the lawn. She said my crocus are up along the driveway. That makes me happy.

I know they may still get snow covered being in NE PA, spring means nothing weatherwise, but nice to see.

DD has to go to the recycling center and since it is beautiful out I just may go with her just to get out and about. We can hit Dunkin, I need a frozen coffee, hazelnut.

Tomorrow is to be the same as today. Sunny, cloudless blue skies.

How is your first day of spring 2021?

We're supposed to have 74° today, the warmest since last fall. However, we go downhill again next week.

We have had daffodils out for a week or so and several trees and bushes are coming to life. Should be a lovely spring.

I was up pretty early, and it was cold, however now it is sunny and in the 50's. It's a great start to spring. All I have in the way of flowers are patches of snow drops, but I'll take it.

My crocuses have been gradually popping out all week. Today I have a nice display of them. They are looking so nice.

My daffodil flowers are ready to pop in a week or so. You can see the buds. I am so scared the temperatures are still dipping below freezing at night. I hope the buds don't get frozen.

I go though this every year. Some years I cover the daffodils at night. Some years I don't bother. And one year when I didn't cover them, every flower bud froze and I did not have one daffodil flower. Don't want that to happen again.

When you see hummingbirds or hear of them around NJ - NY area - please give us a heads-up. It's only March but if weather remains pleasant............they just might keep moving north.

I think the google doodle for spring today is so cute! Is it suppose to be a hedgehog with flowers? Adorable.
