Are we able to agree on three things? There's an abundance of disdain in America. Hate needs to stop. If an organization wants to be charitable - then good on 'em.

We have enough on our plate to deal with, there's no room for hate towards our fellow human beings for any reason, IMO.

Why are people so desperate to call everything a hate crime these days? Why do people and the media seem to need to hang onto that narrative? That in itself is spreading hate. The fact is most of the time people who kill do not do so because they hate them for their race.
People are tearing this country apart trying make people into things they aren't. You want to stop hate stop with yourself. If while you're defending one team you are hating and trashing on another you are part of the problem. There's a lot of hate going around and it's aimed at everyone not just a few groups.

Reading here it is clear that many refuse to see that the human condition is extremely complicated and that there can be multiple causes that drive someone to do the unthinkable.

Several maladjusted ideas about the self and the world can be happening in one mind at the same time.

For some reason, people have that need to nail down a reason that suits a narrative in their own minds and it has little to do with the facts of the matter.

What i find so interesting is that some of the folks virtue signaling about how they are against "Asian hate" are just fine with keeping Asians out of Harvard and elite schools due to there being "too many of them."

Right here in Fairfax County, we have outrage that so many of the slots at a prestigious STEM school went to Asians. That is being changed as - it is deemed "unfair."

Astute observation. And sometimes when "the facts" don't fit the chosen narrative, 'alternative facts' will do.

Silly me. I thought finally we would agree about the recent attacks on Asians all over the country.

Regardless of whether this particular incident turns about to be a hate crime, that doesn't that is not a major problem right now.

And older Asian people are getting the brunt of it. I'm thinking that the bigots are cowards.
