This is about a person I know that blatantly was against getting the Covid vaccine. Person stated multiple times that he felt strongly against it. So now he goes and gets the vaccine but keeps it hush/hush. Found out the reason being is his friends get together once a week in a group of six to listen to music and trade CDs. The house this group gathers at would not allow anyone into his home without having the vaccine administered.

What would you think about this person and his values and beliefs? I feel if he's that willing to give into what he strongly was against, I have a hard time believing and putting any value or truth when he speaks on other things.

I think he changed his opinion about getting the vaccine. I've changed my mind about things in my life, I guess it happens to others also.

I say he's entitled to change his mind. We're constantly getting more and new information about this virus and the vaccine which could certainly cause a person's opinion to vary from what he once thought. Give him a break.

People are allowed to change their minds.

He values friendships and enjoys getting together with them.

Yes, he changed his mind and got it. I'm not getting the vaccine and have my reasons but each person has to make that decision for him/herself.

I wouldn't make a big thing of it. He changed his mind, made a choice. End it there.

My husband refuses to get it although I have had both my shots. He made his choice and I won't even try to change his mind. If another event occurs i.e. either he gets it or he can't particpate and he gets it that is fine. If I felt his not getting it would hurt me and he chose not to and then did it for something else...different story.

He might have changed his mind for any number of reasons; we all do. Without knowing what influenced his about face, I would not deem him to be untrustworthy; unless he lied. Perhaps he valued his friendships, and socialization enough to do so. I do not see his secrecy about something that private as being problematic.😊

Early on in this pandemic, my dh and I weren't sure about getting a vaccine either. Actually, about everyone I know was on the fence at one time, early on. Everyone that I know of though, has changed their minds and either have gotten it, or are getting it. This is not a tiger I want to play with.

Early on, I didn't know anyone who tested positive for Covid either. Early on, I didn't know anyone who had to be hospitalized.

Early on, I didn't know anyone who had died.

Early on, I hadn't lost a family memeber to it.

All that has changed now.

Have you never said something and then changed your mind? Sounds to me like your upset he got the vaccine. It almost feels like once someone says they're hesitant to get it some people think they should not be allowed to ever get it. Yet in the same breath they will chastise people for not getting it. Sound like a non issue!

Personally, I wouldn't give it a second thought, it's his choice and not my job to judge his character, decisions, actions or anything else.
