I'm not a fan of apps. Don't think there's one that's been created that simply and quickly offered as much easy to navigate information as a full website.

I play Mahjong and hidden picture games and candy crush through apps. I like Pinterest a lot too.

Don't apps use up so much of your storage space on your phone? I'm particularly careful about having so many for that reason. I've also found that a really good one will suddenly stop working as it once did and I wind up deleting it. I'm only talking about "free apps" though. LOL.

On phone/iPad the one I use most is the local weather from my local TV station. I have shopping apps, Walmart/target/amazon/local market for grocery pick up/ etc. Some games. Sports scores (ESPN and FOX) News. Banking for deposits and paying bills. Internet provider app so I can get texts about outages, same for electric and town for updates. Easy access to all. Also have Chrome and Safari browsers. Love my apps

I have a bunch of apps on my iPad, ones I use a lot:

NYTimes, Overdrive from my Local Library to use for e-books and audio books, United Airlines, Uber.

Amazon, Audible App,The Weather Channel App, Bank, AT&T, Chick-fil-A, Google maps, on and on I have dozens. even RAPT (Paris metro,ha)

I also use a lot of the Apple preloaded apps, like the Calendar.

My children and grandchildren always give me a hard time about doing it.

I find that it really makes one think on how to get through each board. Brain activity is not a bad thing.

Exactly! Finding patterns, strategizing, recognition and memory games can keep your brain "younger" and besides all that it's fun! 👍😊👍

I have an iPad, so most of these are on my iPad but they have phone versions. I have a very large amount of storage with my iPad Pro. You will need to adjust your apps based on your device's capacity. I get my apps in the Apple App Store.

Scrabble is awesome and it works when your internet is down too. There's free and paid versions

MyFittnessPal is great if you are tracking, calories, nutrients, excercise, sleep, nutrition and nutrients. Free

Google Docs is great if you want to do some word processing. You can make all types of documents with this. Invitations, memos, envelopes, letters, flyers, certificates, reports. Free

IMBD is great if you like to know more about the movies, TV shows, actors or other things in entertainment. Movies and TV have been rated by customers and by professionals so you can get @n idea before you watch whether a production is any good. Also has biographies of actors and directors. Free

YouTube let's you watch tons of free videos on anything. Lots of documentaries, how to guides, product reviews, cooking demos, music. Free entertainment on your device. I even use the rain sounds I find to help me sleep. Free

Local TV channels with weather reports including radar and ten day forecasts. Free

Google Maps will act just like a free Garmin and give you step by step directions as you drive your car to a destination or home from iit. Will also give you written directions. Will help you see maps of everywhere. Free

Amazon Prime Video. Watch movies and atV for free with your Amazon Prime membership. There's also a Prime Music app

Amazon Alexa to be used with your Alexa

Apple App Store app to load apps and update them for your iPad or iPhone Free

Apple News app. Lots of stories for every interest. Free

Apple Store app to buy things for your devices or order new devices. Free

Apple Factime app lets you use your iPad as a phone to anyone else with an Apple phone or iPad. You can video chat or just use the audio. Free

Apple Pages app lets you create documents of all types. It's like Microsoft Word. Free

Apple Podcasts app lets you listen to tons of free podcasts which are like radio shows. You listen to them. There's podcasts from magazines like the New York Times. There's true crime stories podcasts. There are religious podcasts. There are science and health posdcasts. Basically, there's podcasts for every interest under the sun and they are free. You just press a button and listen whenever you want to. Free

Microsoft Word app. With subscription, can be a small monthly fee.

Netflix app with subscription to Netflix

HBO Max app free if you have directv with regular HBO

Directv app with subscription to directv

CNN app watch live CNN with subscription to your tv provider

Crossword Puzzle app by Redstone. Free and works when the internet is down.

Apple Books app lets you order books, magazines right to your device and lets you turn internet articles into PDFs and store on your device. Lets you turn your documents on your device and store as PDFs. Lets you sore PDFs in your APPLE FILES APP that comes preloaded on Apple devices.

Target app lets you shop from Target online but also lets you shop and set a time for outside the store free pickup. They load items in your car for you. No tipping. No added fees. No raised prices over in store prices. You can call ahead on your way there to set up convenient times.

Pinterest App. Home decor, recipes, do it yourself, fashion, jewelry, handbags, sports, electrinics, computer use, travel, holiday ideas, weight control, nutritition, entertainment, plants, gardening, medicine, art, history. Anything you like with photos. You can keep things you like on you own boards for future use.

banking app lets you photograph checks with your device for deposit into your account. Lets you pay bills, keep track. Same as just going to the banks website but you can deposit using your camera. Good during the pandemic as it cuts out trips to the bank.

Scrivner app lets you write books, plays, short stories, whatever your writing needs for both novices and pros.

Dictionary apps, Merrimack Webster and dictionary . Com let you look up words but ha sections for grammar and useage and word games to sharpen your mind

weather apps, Weather Underground app. Weather reports, radar, storms, forecast.

hotel, flight reservations apps from specific airlines and travel sites. I don't use an app for this but I have friends that do.

Files app comes with iPhone and iPad and can store documents and internet pages. Lets you organize

Restaurant food delivery apps. I don't use the apps. I go to the website but there's a Grub Hub, Uber Eats, Door Dash, Postmates

Instacart app. Grocery delivery. I don't use their app, I go to each stores separate website. Publix, Aldis

CVS app. I don't use the app, I order online directly from the website. There's RX delivery

Voice recorder apps let you record sound

Video apps let you make and edit long and short videos with or without sound. One comes preloaded on Apple devices. I've never used this app.

Notes apps let you write notes to yourself or send out

STICKY WIDGETS app lets you create widgets to put on your home page. I use this one a lot. Phone numbers I need fast, other things I need to see right away.

You can view TV shows like CNN on an app from your cable company. You do have to be a subscriber. You can not view some local or cable

Programming away from your home internet.

SwiftKey app for Android is my favorite.

@GenXmuse @Mersha - Another Candy Crusher here. In fact, I just stopped playing it before coming on here. I'm on level 7522.

For a couple of years, I kept hearing some of my friends talking about it and had no idea what it was and said I'd never bother with it. Well, you can see how that worked out!

I agree that you need to be able to see patterns and think ahead, to recognize how one move will affect the entire board. I had another friend who gave up after level 100. He said it was too hard!

The only other app I have on my phone that I use all the time is Textra. I used to use Messages, but when they changed it and took away a lot of the functionality, I searched for something better.

I uninstalled a lot of the apps that came preloaded on my Tracfone.
