Got My 2nd Moderna Vaccine Today!

Got my 2nd Moderna vaccine today. (I'm in NJ) Was scheduled for the 2nd shot last week but due to the snowstorm, it was cancelled and rescheduled for today. So glad that's behind me now! Hopefully, with more vaccines available to many more people, we'll begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel sooner rather than later.

UPDATE: Thought I would give you all an update on any symptoms after receiving the 2nd Moderna shot. Happy to say, other than a sore muscle at the injection sight, I don't have any complaints and slept like a baby last night!

@ciao_bella My husband got his 2nd dose yesterday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He got Pfizer. He was also scheduled for last week but his appointment was cancelled due to the snow.

Now I am hoping that I will be able to get my 1st dose soon.

Got my second shot yesterday. Dh got his today. He went to bed early saying he felt cold. My stomach was unsettled for a few hours today but seems a little better now.

So ready to put this stuff behind us. We were thankful ours weren’t delayed though some folks we know were rescheduled a few days later than original date.

Got my 2nd Moderna shot on Wed. Yesterday my whole body ached, had a violent headache, & couldn't get warm- needed 3 heavy blankets to get a little comfortable.

By last night I was feeling a little better. Woke up fine this morning.

I received my second Moderna vaccine on Wed. Yesterday, Thurs, I was so cold and couldn't warm up but was able to sleep well. Today the chills were pretty much gone and I've felt a little achy and tired but not sleepy. I also have some redness at the injection site that is itchy.

My DH & I got our 2nd Pfizer vaccination last Monday and other than a sore arm, we felt fine. Good luck to all of you. Yes, the light is at the end of the tunnel.

Husband and I both got second Moderna shot on Wednesday night (our appointment for today had been cancelled. pharmacy called at 7:30 and asked if we could be there by 8. I said, yes!! We were there in ten minutes!)

Husband has been totally fine. Not me. I had chills, muscle aches, fever, no appetite, and headache on Thursday. Tylenol helped a bit. Today, just a headache. Fatigue throughout. And red rash and a bit of pain around site, as I had after the first one. Nevertheless, I am euphoric!!!

I get my first shot next week, it will be Pfizer. I know lots of people who have had the vaccine between the ages of 35 to 90. Many of them have serious pre-existing conditions that include: MS, Lupus, RA, cancer, COPD, Diabetes, asthma etc. Majority of them have not had a reaction to the vaccine except one or two had a sore arm for 24 hours, a few had mild headache and two had low fever for a day. They all had Moderna. The others I know who received the Pfizer vaccine reported no side effects at all. Hope this helps.

My dh and I got our second Pfizer vaccine last week. No side effects whatsoever.

DH and I got our second shot this past Monday. We both had very slight swelling and slight soreness at sight of injection. That lasted for about 3 days.

I received my 2nd Moderna vaccine this week too. My reaction was the next morning. I had the chills like you wouldn't believe for about 4 hours. Otherwise, no reaction and no sore arm.

I got my second Moderna shot last week. No problems w/first shot. Second one, I ran a low grade (100) fever on the second and third day and ached all over. Then the fever broke and I felt better. Arm was sore for a few days, but that is normal for me w/any flu shot. No biggie. Better than having Covid!

I really think it depends on how the components of the injection effect each person. Good luck, all!

I'm still back of the line. Our state is in 1C I'm in general population. It's going to be a lot of people in front of me. I've said this before....I think next year for me. Our state seems to have the Pfizer instead of that other one.

My second shot of Pfizer was on Tuesday. I had a bit of stiffness and my arms' range of motion was affected. I felt this when reaching for water bottles stored on top if the fridge above my head. This lasted throughout the second day. I also had swelling in my armpit which lasted through the second day. I'm almost envious of those that more of a reaction because this means the vaccine is working. I'm not so sure of the efficacy of the vaccine in obese patients with a higher BMI. This has never been studied. No morbidly obese subjects were involved in any of the trials and as far as I know there has been no effort to test morbidly obese persons for COVID antibodies subsequent to their second vaccinations. I sure wish the vaccine makers or the NIH would do this. I found it very disheartening when it was only recently found that influenza vaccines were much less effective in the obese. My hope is that mRNA vaccines, utilizing a different technology, will provoke a more robust response.

@Wsmom - got my second Moderna on Wednesday. The injection site hurt only when I would touch it (so don't touch it, duh!) and it itched a little. That was it.💗
