I have received multiple calls from "James" with "my TV service" saying they have repositioned a satellite and I must go to the main TV receiver and let him walk me thru the update procedure to insure no disruption to my service.

I promptly say NO, along with more words I cannot share here, to which his response is that my service will be disconnected. My response is always good, do it, thank you, goodbye!

Also, keep an eye on your bank statements for any unusual charges. Just yesterday a charge for $202 from Dave Inc. on 2/16 showed up on mine. I just got back from my bank after disputing the charge and will have to wait for a new card to come in 7-10 business days. I had never heard of Dave Inc. and certainly never did business with them. A quick look at the BBB website showed 555 complaints lodged against them for similar issues. Here's a radical thought, if there are 555 people they've stolen from maybe the credit card companies shouldn't do business with them. (And truth be told they likely stole from lots more people who didn't file complaints with the BBB.)
