I have a kitty who is almost a year old. First time EVER I have a problem with a cat that pees in the house.

She was litter trained from the time I got her at about 10 or 12 weeks, and she was good, but after a few weeks, she began p'ing in our family room, then upstairs, and just recently in my living room!

We brought the litter box back upstairs from the basement, but that made no difference. She will poo in the box, but still ur i nate all around the house (on carpeting!)

She has been examined by the Vet, and there is nothing wrong with her. Nothing has changed, so I don't know why she continues to do this.

My dh has been very patient until now.

We are actually talking about putting her down. I hate considering taking her to a shelter b/c I worry about her not getting adopted, and don't want her living in a cage, either.

Please help! Has anyone had a situation like this, and is there a solution?
