My precious brother passed away at the end of September. It hasn't been a terribly long time yet, so I still refer to her as my sister-in-law; however, I'm wondering if I should transition to referring to her as my friend. She's still fairly young, so there's a good chance she may re-marry at some point, so I'm thinking friend may be better and less awkward down the road?
