Kuhn Rikon Shears are back in pretty colors

Just ordered some. I divided the set and gave them as Christmas presents last year. Nothing but positive comments from the recipients.

I purchased a set just recently too but this time I am keeping them all. I went ahead and bought the covers too . I just went for it even though too spendy.

I am keeping a pair in each car, two in kitchen and one will be for food only. I already have a pair in garage from before and going to take my previous kitchen ones and put in basement.

I got the farm colors.

Thanks for the heads up. I love these things and use them all the time. I also keep different pairs for different things - kitchen, garden, mail, etc. I initially ordered them to open the hard plastic packaging that so many items come in, but found I could use them for many things.

We love these things. From the very first time I bought a set, I was sold. Every time there are new colors and new configurations. We use these for LOTS of things from cutting coupons to chicken, to strings on a shirt sleeve, cutting my hair to my husband using them on a landscaping job sit.

These are amazing scissors. I also have quite a stash of them.

I bought a set in the Farmhouse colors on 10/25 and the order is still being prepared -- whatever that means.

Ones I've purchased in the past worked great.

@OKPrincess, what are the farmhouse colors? That wasn't an option offered today. They had the essentials, the neon, and jewel tones for the color options. Farmhouse colors sounds interesting. Sorry I missed that presentation.

I've thought about buying these... would they be good for cutting up cardboard boxes (a lot of boxes!)? It seems to me they always offer them in a bundled set of 3 or 4, and I'm not sure I want to buy that many to try them out.

After you try them, you’ll see why you need 4 pairs. I have a pair in every room of my house and 2 in the kitchen. The farmhouse colors sold out.

@dooBdoo, I have cut so many cardboard boxes with these (and I'm not talking about boxes the thickness of cereal boxes but shipping cardboard) that I don't know if I could count that far. Honestly, you will be pleasantly surprised how superior these shears are to any other. I have one in the garage, one for the garden, one in the kitchen, one in the craft room, one in the upstairs desk, one in the laundry room, .....well, one in every room of the house. If you decide to order them, I hope you like them.

@wismiss Couldn't agree more. I use them in the garden, for cooking, opening packages. I have 4 pair, leave one in about every room that has a door going outside so I can grab them knowing they'll be used.

Love them. One of my best purchases on Q.

I got a set of jewel tones on free shipping day. Love these. I gave these as an add on gift a few years ago, people loved these. Will keep two and share two. Kuhn Rikon products are really great quality. Thanks Mark Charles for bringing these. I don’t see them all year at QVC. Mostly now.

@dooBdoo I think recently I saw a two pack on the Q website, if you didn’t want the 4 pack.

Bought a set of four last winter and gave one at Christmas and used one myself for a while, but I never reach for it now. In the kitchen, I use shears from the Curtis Stone set that I don't think is offered any longer. The blades separate for complete cleaning. Love them.

Everywhere else, I use Olfa cutters with the 9mm break-off blades. They're terrific for cutting down boxes and doing tons of other tasks. I keep one in my bag and have one on every floor of the house. I have numb hands and find that grasping an Olfa is a lot easier than using the KR scissors.

I wonder, too. There isn’t a video or even a photo of the shears in the sheaths so it is hard to tell. I’ll watch for a presentation or video. It would be great if it works.
