Things are just so weird, post on here, life in general, peoples actions, it is just mind boggling, the times we are living in.

@goldensrbest Care to be more specific? People are definitely disoriented and confused by all the horrible events of this year. Not themselves. Everything seem different, changed and non-routine. I think many feel a bit discombobulated and some don't adjust well at all.

I couldn't agree more, especially people's actions, including my own.

Why just yesterday I couldn't get the T.V. to turn on. I checked cables, plugs, changed the remote batteries, but no luck. I kept pushing that darn remote button, said mean things to that darn T.V. when I finally realized I was pushing the MUTE button!

And no topic? Really?

That is very confusing to me. And no, I didn't read all this, but I wonder why people won't say what they mean. I think that adds a lot to confusion.

I encounter very little nastiness or hostility in my “real” life. Honestly, most of it is online - occasionally here (but minor), a lot on a Facebook which I started blocking, a little on Instagram. I swear half or more of the wacked out nasty posters on social media are bots, or getting paid.

This reminded me so much of my Mom. She would push one button on her remote and somehow everything would get messed up. I would fix it and she thought I was so smart.

She was just the best, I'd give anything to be able to fix her remote again.

I will add that when someone is sick in the hospital, political differences usually disappear - everyone is a little afraid to be there, regardless of the reason, and people are grateful for even small gestures of kindness.

I must look at, life in general, differently than you. Along my years and decades of life things, and people have changed. During those times I tried to keep abreast of the changes, and do what a few of these differences, actually changed MY life, not the world or country as a whole.

Weird times, people's actions? I have seen and been personally involved in that during much of my adult life. Other than the present lockdown, and other changes for safety and health reasons? People, at least the ones important in my life, have changed very little.

I went ice skating today and other than wearing a mask in the lobby and fewer people skating? That part of my life is pretty much the same. Now my skating ability after being off 7 months? Felt almost like starting skating all over. Not much else to say here.

@Greeneyedlady21 I understand. I lost my mom over 36 yesrs ago at a very difficult time in my life, and I still miss her to this day. Your mom was lucky to have such a great daughter.

On a different note, now I know who to call when I do something goofy again. YOU!!! 😀

I have shaken my head so much over what I've seen and heard out of people in the last few months, I'm surprised my head is still firmly attached to my body!

The latest act of SMH in disbelief is that 15 years after trying to talk a family member (over 50) out of buying a 2 story house, she finally admits she made a huge mistake. For about $20,000 she can easily enlarge a ground floor room and make it a bedroom, with a bathroom 3 steps outside the new bedroom door. Easy fix that keeps her in the home she loves.

Her solution? Sell her house, buy land, and build a one level house! She thinks this will be a piece of cake, and does not understand why we think this is a bigger mistake than her buying the 2 story house!
