Don't worry, I have no reason to reply or access the link. I'm just curious if you think it's real. I've enlarged it to leave out personal information. It was addressed to me sans my middle initial and it did have my email address.

The IRS will be contacting about 9 million people that they are eligible for the stimulus payment but haven't filed tax returns. Mailings begin 9/24 so those who may be eligible should wait for that notification.

A simple Google search would have told you that it's not a scam. The deadline has been extended.

@Mindy D There was news this week that I many of the economic impact checks went unclaimed so they want people to get them. Maybe this is in reference to that. It doesn't look like a scam. There ought to info on the SS or IRS websites.

This is completely legitimate. The IRS is actively seeking eligible recipients.

The SSA is involved because many are likely elderly with only SS income.

Last week I also got a scam phone message from SS. Would not be near either one.

The IRS NEVER calls or e-mails. NEVER, Total scam.

You don't need to click, log in, call, worry, wring hands or fret.

If you are potentially still eligible for a payment the IRS will notify you.

Completely legitimate for those who may be eligible. No one said you will receive a call.

Go to the IRS Economic Impact Payments website. It's helpful. I will be a .gov website.

Scam. The SSA along with other governmental agencies contact you via snail mail and provide you with a number to then contact them.

I would think anything from them by any means would have your name exactly right.
