SO GREAT to see Alex Trebek back behind the podium tonight!!! I had heard that Ken Jennings was supposed to be part of the show, but he wasn't there tonight.

I enjoyed tonight's show and am very glad that the new season is here. Alex looks well. So glad that the reruns are over.

So glad I saw it listed as a new episode. I thought the "answers" tonight were really tough, even in the first round.

Alex appears to be hanging in there. Obviously he has a lot of makeup on but I think he looks pretty darn good. I did detect a little more raspiness in his voice though, especially towards the end. I do wish him well and am glad to see him back.

I'm glad it's back too. He does look well. I was never a big fan of his but I think he has mellowed and loosened up a bit one the show since his diagnosis. I quite like him now and wish him well.

@WenGirl42 I saw a very quick ad with Alex & Ken together. My husband said he read that Ken is now one of the producers working on this one. Honestly, I thought they were going to announce that Ken will take over as host some day in the future.

It's obvious that Ken made quite an impression on the staff, producers, network and especially Alex. Maybe down the road Ken will remain a producer and that also great former very fun constestant Buzzy will be on board to be the new host. How fun would that be??!!

Ken is also on a Game Show Network Show called Master Minds....He's one of the experts and rotates with a few other panel of 3 "master minds" competing against 3 contestants....

I hadn't heard that Buzzy was being considered as a future host. He was very personable as a contestant.

My 17 year old and I still can't believe he's 80. He looks the same as he did 20 years ago (funny she would say this, since she's not even 20 years old herself)!

I'm so glad he's back doing what he loves to do.

Awww, my poor Alex, I don't think he looks very good. I'm pulling for him, though.

What did he say the last champions reason was for not being there and so they had 3 new contestants? We didn't catch what he said.
