I always am alone on holidays-- even Christmas--unless I am on caregiver duty for my 93 year old mother. I do not usually mind. I am sure it is hard, though, if you are missing getting together with friends or family. Hope you can enjoy the day even if you are alone.

I'm one who loves being alone. I'm alone right now, at least for the next 5 hours. I don't know what he's doing tomorrow but I hope it's something. I'm just so used to being alone that I was terrified that, when he lost his job in June, he would be home all the timem. He hasn't been. But I guess it's just what I'm used to and it works for me.

Yes by choice. Ventured out yesterday and too many people not wearing masks and too many compromised people in our family, we haven't gathered this year.

I am home alone also.

Dishwasher died last night so I am now handwashing all the dirty dishes in it! I guess I better get used to it.

I'm alone every day. Between the virus situation, the extreme heat, and poor air quality due to fire smoke, I am stuck inside my apt. the entire weekend and can't go anywhere.

However, I am grateful that I even have an apt. and have not lost my home to fire as many people have. There is always someone worse off than many of us, so count your blessings.

@goldensrbest I bet the day is especially lonely for you without Spirit. Do you have another dog? I was thinking you had two. Do you think you'll get another? Maybe too soon to know.
