You know it's not your week when...

You go home for lunch, turn the corner and find your sprinkler system on. Broken for the umpteenth time and running for who knows how long.

So, you kneel in the mud and the muck on your front lawn with the water spraying all over you and your nice work clothes getting filthy dirty to dig through and find the valve to shut it down.

A change of clothes and a quick on the go lunch later to go back to work to continue to fix the billing disaster that happened after someone went behind my back and messed with the setup I had been working on for two months straight to ensure it was clean and without incident including coming in on my day off.

The culprit still hasn't fessed up but he will.

I did get my QVC package in two days!

But I need to spike my water bottle like yesterday... Is it the weekend yet?

So sorry that you having that kind of a week.... I call those my "I Love Lucy" weeks---where everything that goes wrong does......(kinda like a Lucy espisode except no one comes to bail us out, we have to endure and find a way to set things back to right on our own )......HANG IN THERE!!!

I have been cracking myself up all week over these calamities. If I didn't it would be the strait jacket or a full metal jacket. Toss up between the two.

I had a 45lb bag of birdseed break open onto my kitchen floor this morning, So far, have not seen the humor in it. Maybe later.😬

BTW, this was me screaming not singing before I went inside and changed. I have the rain dance down at this point for as many times as the sprinkler system has sprung a leak.

Holy heck, that's a lot of bird seed! Yeah, I don't think I'd be laughing either. YOu'll probably bbe finding bird seed for years.

While we're kvetching, I fell late this mornig and hurt my right arm. Glad it's y right arm this time. Don't think anything is broken this time but it hurts like heck.

@beckyb1012 I keep threatening to write a humor book. I've been working on another one instead but it just may have to happen. Life is just putting it right there for me!

Thank you, Dear! Just another klutzy thing I guess. I have the whole forearm wrapped for now as all of it hurt at first, but I don't feel like anything is broken. Wish I had some pain meds, though! Hey, I'm typing althought that hurts a little, so it's not all bad. When I broke my other arm I couldn't even use my hand at all or even move my fingers. As long as I'm careful and don't twist it or put any weight on it, the hand is functioning.

@Laura14 I hate when those leaks happen. And they happen in my yard every summer. I think our blistering hot weather melts the tubing even underground. I remember you posting that you might write a book. I'm currently writing my 10th, and it's taking me twice as long as my other ones now that I'm not at work. Lol. If you ever need encouragement, I'm here.

@Laura14 I write under a pen name, because I didn't want to be judged by colleagues. I write rather quirky novels that also have a dark side and have connections to women's lives/challenges. I also do a lot of research.

When I was going to work, I wrote on my vacations, 3-day weekends, etc., but never on a night before going to work. If I'm on a roll with an idea, I just keep writing until the wee hours or until meeting up with the sunrise. I edited & revised as I wrote and then did both again when a novel was done and met my goal of a book within a year's off-work time.

I write everyday now, but I'm not so pressed for time. I don't write as much at one sitting, and I'm more critical; hopefully that's making me better. (I'm still up until 2-3AM. Go figure.) At a certain point, I get anxious to finish a novel so that I can move on to my next one. I really don't know how I wrote 300-500 page books while going to work, but if I could do it you can too.

@chickenbutt - Tiger Balm - it's expensive ($11 for a tiny pot - like lipstick pot size) but it works wonders!
