topic Ron Burgundy - Will Ferrell Morph in Community Chat

Maybe I'm not cool enough, but I don't get the whole Ron Burgundy thing. I know it's Will Ferrell's character from "Anchorman" & his new movie is coming out, but...for awhile now, he's doing all these commercials & talk show appearances as Ron Burgundy. Is he becoming the next Andy Kaufmann/Latke? Where the character slowly becomes....him....with or without movie? Is he slowly morphing into this crazy character? Thoughts?
