@Naturesbeauty - I'm a trivia "nut," and a poster here long ago told me about Sporcle. It's a site that has all kinds of games. I play it as my "winding down" time every day.

Can anyone recommend a good way to play Free Cell on an iPad? That's another game I enjoy!

Looking quickly, I see these under "Free Cell" for iPads in the App Store. There are many!😊 I hope at least one of them is the one you're looking for. Looks like fun, so thanks for mentioning this!😊

As a general recommendation, I like

"Apps Gone Free & Daily Tips"

by AppAdvice.com.

They provide daily updates and recommendations for apps -- including games -- that are offered free for a limited time only. Many of the apps are for children, but not all of them. It's a pretty good variety and I've discovered some good apps this way.

Mostly I just do jigsaw puzzles, sometimes MahJohng, but I also play a word game where you fill in the words according to the number of letters needed. I play it with Russian words though. It's called Word Fit Puzzle.

Not new, but I probably am one of the few left still playing Candy Crush.

I view each board as a puzzle to solve and I find it so relaxing.

I just hit Level 2906 with a ton left to go.

HSN site as a lot of free games to play in their arcade. At the top of the home page under Connect will take you to Arcade and you can scroll down to see all listed.

It's called a crossword but it's not a typical crossword puzzle. Only one vertical word or phrase intersects with a list of horizontal words.

if anyone could recommend cryptogram or cryptoquote apps for the iPad?

I had a couple of those I really liked, but the developers stopped supporting them and they're no longer available.

Zero on my tablet. I use our 65" TV to play a game that is on 1 of my 3 DVD Players. My wife likes it too, so at times we switch off. It is Mahjong Fruits.

Good for brain activity and thought processing, yet fun to play. Kinda like playing 8-ball on a real pool table, you have to think way ahead of your next shot(move in Fruits game game).

I have had the mobility ware app on my pad for a long time and I find that it is a very stable app.

You can play free cell, solitaire, spades, mahjong, sudoku, and a few others.

I also play Words with Friends and Hearts.

NYT spelling bee. I love it. I do it on and off all day until I reach genius level. There have been 2 times i came within a couple points of reaching genius level and it gnawed at me all day

STOP is fun and you have to be fast.
