I think this is true, hopefully most of the time.

I know there are times I've been entirely too naiively trusting, but I'm learning

Once, while my class had a cop come to talk to the kids, he said when you get that feeling in your stomach that tells you something is wrong, always believe it! It can save your life!

I've never forgotten that.

I can pick up those vibes from just standing near a person. It's kind of like I can pick up what they are thinking.

If I am uneasy around a person I have just met, I take it seriously and trust my instincts. Has never failed me.

I trust both my instincts about a person and I also trust my dog's instincts. Neither have ever let me down.
