Any use for old pillows?

I think I know the answer, but thought I'd ask in case someone had found some way to get rid of them that didn't involve putting them in the trash.

Most people didn't want them before, so with all that is happening, I'm sure they are unusuable.

I have more than I care to admit and they take up so much space!

I'm thinking I just have to start bagging them for trash a couple at a time.

Any recommendations other than that are welcome!

Do you mean old bed pillows? I donated some last year at the Salvation Army. They said they give them to organizations that help people and the pillows are used for things like propping up someones leg, etc. I was happy that I donated there.

I take mine to animal control, humane society and local rescue groups.

Had no idea. I help with fundraising for several local rescues and never heard that.

I will certainly check.

Yes, bed pillows.

I just assumed they would not want anything like that during the pandemic, but I could be wrong.

@Witchy Woman Are there any white bins from Special Olympics in your community? They take all textiles...including pillows.

None of my regular rescues want them.

They said dogs will tear them apart and they didn't want them for the cats.

@Witchy Woman @I use them for hurricanes. I put them up against doors, windows and sliding glass doors bottoms to absorb any water that gets in from the storm.

Never seen pillows on lists of items shelters need. Towels and blankets, but never pillows. They're hard to sanitize.
