Our Gov. Implemented Some New Restrictions.

All counties in PA had finallly gone green. Tonight on the news he changed bars and restaurants back to 25% capacity. Indoor groups of 25 and outdoor is 250.

Teleworking is encourged.

He said people ignoring masks and social distancing, out of state travel etc. as the reason.

Today's total cases were 1,000 and they had been down quite a bit.

I'm glad he is trying to ****** the rise in cases in the bud so it doesn't go crazy like some other states.

What puzzles me is that Governors who mandate wearing masks will not authorize the police to issue fines for those who refuse to wear one throughout the whole state.

If I am not mistaken, the City of Philly enforces fines.

N.J. Gov reasoning for not enforcing fines: He "expects" folks to "do the right thing."

@Mz iMac Well that's not happening. The director of the CDC has stated that we could get control of Covid 19 in 4-8 weeks if everyone wore a mask. It is a mystery to me why some are refusing to wear a mask in order to make a political statement. This is not about politics folks it is about doing what will help save lives. Are people not looking at the news and seeing what is happening in Florida and Texas specifically?

Most of you who are picking on Texas and Florida should have realized via news that those are illegitimate reports they have been tweaked as in many hospitals in order to raise the number of cases to benefit a particular group. If you read the science on the masks which is out there now everybody to read they do nothing for the size of droplet if that is the Covid. This is truly all about scaring you to death so you don't go vote

@SunnysMom I think it is more informative to read what the medical and scientific community says about wearing masks and they say wear cloth masks.

You've established that you're not looking at the news, where it was reported 3 weeks ago by the spokesperson for the TX Health Dept. that hospitals were directed to list patients who tested positive on being admitted to hospitals for other reasons/procedures to be listed as being hospitalized for Covid. You also clearly missed the recent news about 300 Covid test sites in FL falsely reporting 100% positive results. So much for "data" which omits negative tests results.

Don't lecture to the informed "folks."

I have seen on tv that some states will give warnings about a mask if you don’t wear one...then a fine of $2000 for the second offense....impossible to do this...how do you know when it is a second offense? The police have more than enough to do without being the mask police too....depending on people’s common sense seems risky though.

@Moonlady My post was about wearing masks. I have no idea why you are so worked up about my post. My post had nothing to do with listing reasons for being admitted to hospitals. I just heard several Miami doctors pleading for people to wear masks. They said we know this is an effective way to slow the spread of this virus. These doctors are serving in hospitals in Miami Dade area where they are out of ICU beds. Oh maybe they are lying about this. I cannot for the life of me understsnd why wearing masks gets some people so irate. It's really not that difficult.

@lovesrecess It's not impossible. It's the same thing as getting a parking ticket. You are issued a warning summons. Your personal info is imputed into a comp which all police have in their vehicles.

Second offense you will be fined.

Third offense you will be taken to jail. You may be charged w/some sort of terroristic charge(s).

I only know of 1 city that enforcees the above - Camden, NJ because of their spike levels. That city has FBI, County, State & City police officials all holed up in 1-2 buildings.
