No on campus teaching. Online except a very few exceptions. Yikes that's a costly online degree.

I saw reported very few exceptions. 40 % is almost half so that doesn't seem very few.

To me that's a huge mistake. I think students should have the option. If students aren't worried about it, it should be their choice to go or not. They will do it at home, so why bar them from an education as it should be?

It's not the students who are worried, it's the professors, as they should be

On campus is a problem for many college employees and professors who are considered high risk. I agree it’s an expensive online degree. I don’t think there are good answers to many things right now.

I am waiting to hear what our state's universities will be doing. I would not do college on line, I do understand that many will. With the astronomical cost I would have to be in the classroom. Labs are so important as well as interaction with other students and the professors.

Then again I sure as heck didn't attend Harvard.

I think other colleges will do the same. I believe Yale will be doing something similar. I can’t imagine taking many classes in that format. But part of our new life, isn’t it? I think our state university will be doing the same thing, along with many others.

Many colleges are wary of packing so many students into dorms. I think just students who come from a great distance will be offered housing on campus.

Even though they are charging students full tuition, the online students will not have to pay room and board. That's a significant expense at most schools. My youngest goes to an in-state public university and living at home will save us about 50% of what we paid last year. He considered taking a gap year next year, but decided he's getting a good education at a reduced price.

Maybe, @Hoovermom. But I especially feel for those who are close to finishing their degrees and either putting it to work here or back home. Plus, who knows what the visa status will be for them from hereon. It's a mess for all students, from elementary on up.

They are allowing 40% of students to live on campus but the classes will still be online only. Can't figure out how to do labs???

Personally, I'd either withdraw and go elsewhere or defer my education until such time as I could be afforded actual classes... You can get on-line credits at any half baked college for a fraction of the cost and part of the education involves the in-class exchanges and interactions... This isn't a college education in my view...
