What Happened To July 1st ?

Boy, this July 1st has been strange.

I haven't had a Smartphone for very long. Before that for a long time I used a Tracphone which I decided to maintain also after I got my Smartphone (long story there). My Smartphone was at the other end of my house this morning so I looked at my Tracphone, which was closer to me, to see the time. The time was correct but the date said June 31. 🤪 Huh? In all the years I've had it it has never done that before! I wonder what tomorrow will be?

Then later I went to the bank. I was preparing my transactions at the table where all the various forms are for deposits, withdrawals, etc and the calendar on table said June 1. It's one that has to be changed manually by sliding the month and date into slots, so an employee changed yesterday's 30 to a 1, but walked away and didn't change the month! Duh 🤪

What a weird day it has been. Tomorrow is July 2, right?

Thats weird, I also use Tracfone and mine correctly reflected July 1st as did the rest of my day....It sounds like you have entered.....THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!

And you are correct, tomorrow is July 2nd!!!

I even have an old Tracfone that I use as an emergency backup (in case I forget to charge my phone or if the power goes out and i use my battery all up on my main phone)...anyway that one also shows July 1st....

@Spurt. Hmmmm I wonder why mine was wrong? I should go look and see if it has been corrected but now that phone is at the other end of the house. I'll let you know...it had better be corrected by tomorrow!

Believe me, June 31 was nothing I would ever have thought of to make up. Gosh, how young are we when we learn "30 days have September, April. June and November. All the rest have 31 except February."

June 31 is nothing that would have occurred to me. It looked so bizarre on my phone I had to look twice to make sure I was seeing right!

@tansy. Yes I knew that thanks. I'm very happy with the Android I got and I got a super great monthly rate with Sprint's Kickstart program for people who hadn't had Smartphones before.

I'm really happy to learn from SPURT on this thread that she kept her older phone as a backup. It supported my decision to keep mine too as a spare.

I was wishing on June 30th there was such a thing as June 31st. Every month that as 31 days in it Baskin Robbins offers there ice cream that day for reduced price. Due to Covid they skipped March and May. Not sure what they intend to do about the July 31st date and this is the "Ice Cream" month to begin with. You should have taken your phone to Baskin Robbins @Pearlee and demanded a cone for a $1.70!!

@beckyb1012. How is it I've loved BR ice cream since I was a kid (yum. jamocha almond fudge) and never knew this? Well I learned something today! Lol about taking my phone there yesterday! See, there is an "up side" to everything, even a phone glitch. Fortunately for the sake of my ever-increasing hips, the only BR that I knew of close to me closed a few years ago. I'll keep it in mind though, for when I'm some place where there is a BR. Thanks for posting. 🍦🍨🍦🍨
