I heard that too and if true it is encouraging.

But then I wonder so how come so many people get it from people who don't have symptoms. I don't know.

Through contact tracing it is being found that some people had mild symptoms. But truly asymptomatic people were not spreading the virus.

That is one of the so-called facts about covid-19 that I struggled with the most, that 85% were asymptomatic.

What the heck? A very high percentage sick with no symptoms? If only all diseases were that way! And not contagious either!

So is it the antibody tests they are relying on?

I mean, what is the difference between 85% having something that does not cause them to get physically sick, and is not contagious, and not having the virus?

Was there really some innate immunity there?

are considered Symptoms, as well as the usual obvious ones we all know about.

The WHO said today those who are Asymptomatic including the above symptoms are 50% less likely to transmit COVID as those WITH symptoms.

If I am understanding correctly, only those who are truly sick can pass on the virus?

To me, the timing is fishy. Seems like 'they' are wanting something to point to in case there's not a spike due to all the rioters. Just sayin...

Quarantine yourself from others if you have symptoms, and get tested.

So if I understand this correctly, it means is that if you have the virus, you are contagious, but you get more contagious once you start to get symptoms.

That's good to know, but it's still only safe to assume you could have it and infect others, so wear a mask, and if you have symptoms, stay away from people.

I just read this too...and while it's good news, the article did say that one can still catch it the day of or right before one shows symptoms. Hard to know what to believe.

The term I saw was "rare" and "very rare" for an asymptomatic person to pass the virus on.

For me, this means that with people I trust to not go out sick, and who say they feel fine, like family, it is perfectly safe to meet with them.
