QVC lug masks

Noted that Q is selling Lug masks(approx $10 each). Probably decent masks but couldn't Q eat shipping/handling? Btw, most of my masks are around $6, including S&H.

They look like they are made out of the fabric used for garden flags.

I'm sure they would be hot as he!! and $10 a piece is a lot of money.

THese masks are as basic as they come! They are soooo inexpensive to make and these probably cost (no joke!) 50 cents each!

I actually have purchased these. My husband loves the black camo and I got the purple. They are light weight, breathable, soft inside and not at all hot despite people assuming they would be due to the fabric. It was 93 today and I was fine. That being said I have found most people if they have their mind set they won't like something then chances are they probably won't even if the item works for them. They are washable and you can get filters. I like them. Also the people having issues with them being "imported" FACT...99.99% of ALL the masks currently worn are in part or all of made in CHINA. So you are already wearing made in China masks and have continued to purchase them because although there is possibly 1% are made in Vietnam or India but that's rare. You ALL need to understand, even if you make your own, the material, string, elastic, thread, pipe cleaners, those shields people now want, you name it ALL have a part or all of it made in CHINA. Even those companies that love to put the flag symbol in the corner, state in small print "shipped from USA" however they are actually "made in CHINA". This is a global economy and it's not going to change anytime soon. sorry. I have a son in the Navy and yes I love my red white and blue but some things are just what they are. If you are "boycotting" Made in China masks...good luck with that. Because you will be one of the people without a mask. You have been washing and wearing "China" masks throughout this whole debacle.

@patbz. There have been at least two other threads on these already, one I know is in the Fashion Forum. When I looked at them last they were polyester. From everything I've read about masks cotton is best to use. So polyester, no thanks. You might check out our previous discussions about these.

How is the fit? I have a smallish face and the qvc "surgical" masks hung on me like a sack of potatoes. @eadu4

I have these, don't have an exceptionally large face and they fit really well. Those complaining about price, I ordered a couple cotton ones from eBay before these were available and paid $10 each for those and to be fair they are not as nice. I personally think these are fairly priced and very nicely made. I also ordered some surgical masks from Amazon and guess what, they are coming from China. China is the mask capital of the world. If you want made in America I think you need homemade.

Just a point here, unless you verify the material you are using it's still "made in China". The material, thread, string, elastic, etc have a large chance of coming from China. So even homemade items still are really not "made in the USA". Until the fabric, and all the other materials are actually made in the USA it's still China products. Heck most of the sewing machines are foreign made including China.

They might be big, so these might not work for you, but for me I don't wan't anything suctioned to my face and I wouldn't think in the summer that would be something you would want. But it's all a personal preference. I'm not sure of your "risk" factor so again, masks are a personal choice. I"m almost 60, and not afraid so I do it as a courtesy. My husband has tried a bunch of masks since the beginning (he handles the cleaning crews in the covid positive buildings) and he liked this one. I found it worked for me. But again like all the other differernt masks out there, everyone has a preference and fit comfort zone. I found some that were recommeded didn't work out for me. donated to someone else who liked them and it worked for them. Truthfully, I haven't seen really anyone using them right, wearing them right, so there you go. Are masks really effective? Not the way I've seen they are used and worn (other than the professionals who know how to) but hey, again it's about the comfort zone it puts you in.

I ordered a reusable washabale mask a month ago. No sign of it. At least I wasn't charged. I made a couple of anklet sock masks. but they're weak on make. I am saving them for when I go to the bank. They're insisting people wear masks on coming inside.

String king masks are made in the USA, they have a site,and also sell on amazon.
