I am in need of multisurface cleaner and am unable to find it anywhere, Walmart, Amazon and Dollar General are out of it and have been since this started.

Evidently no one cleaned their house before the pandemic.

We are also having difficulty finding Lysol or Clorox wipes. TP and PT seem to be more in stock now. Not many name brands but who's being fussy at this point? Luckily I had 2 containers of Clorox wipes before this all started. I'm trying to use them sparingly. I'm assuming at some point they will resurface.

In my area SE PA, dishwashing detergent has been MIA for some time. I have an order in with Amazon, not my usual kind, but it is delayed. Of course, yeast is hard to find too. Yesterday our stores were "rationing" meat ( including things like hot dogs) to two packages per household. Chicken looked gross, and ground beef at $10.48 a pound for 80-20, was anemic and looked as if it had freezer burn.

@LindaSal Boxed is a wholesale retailer that offers direct delivery at their website. Most of their offerings are in bulk. You have to keep checking back as things sell out fast. Delivery is very fast.

@LindaSal @Imaoldhippie I've been making my own disinfectant & wipes.Very easy.Just mix one part alcohol, at least 60%, to two parts warm water.Add a little liquid dish soap & mix. You can then pour the mix into a spray bottle or a zip lock bag/ plastic container & add good quality paper towels until they absorb the liquid.

Do you have a Big Lots in your area? They've been restocking disinfectant spray cleaners with regularity. The one I see most often there is Lysol. And that's good because their stock disappears just as quickly. They also have 70% isopropyl alcohol.

And Home Depot had the Lysol disinfectant wipes (in the cylindrical container) as recently as Wednesday. I don't know if they were stocked in their cleaning supply department because we didn't go there, but they were at every checkout area.

Much of this seems to be regional. Like many other areas, paper supplies have been readily available again for some time, and shoppers are passing up hand sanitizer, too.

There was a news story a week or two ago saying that Lysol wipes will not be readily available until the summer. So I've given up looking for them and try to ration what I have. I've taken to using other cleaners instead. I have enough toile paper for the rest of the year, so not looking for that either.

Given the fact that Lysol wipes are available in some areas (here, for example), that news story is not correct.

They may not be available everywhere until July or August, but they are still available. Again, it appears to be a regional issue, as with many other goods.

It was the local news, so yes, describing a local problem in the greater NY metro area. There are no Lysol wipes anywhere, all shelves are empty. I certainly don't know what's availabel in North Dakota.

If you do this, you need to use greater than 60% alcohol, because once you dilute it with water it is no longer strong enough to kill the virus. The way this is described (one part alcohol and two parts water), the alcohol content is only 20%.

@dex Well what I see as hard to find items may not be YOUR hard to find items. No problem with baby wipes... or carrots... Yeast is not on my shopping list. You may have to go to a different market for carrots. I usually shop at freddys or Safeway exclusively.

Ditto same here..... while TP, paper towels, and napkins have reappeared---cleaning products of all kinds have disappeared I think your right....no one must have cleaned before the epidemic.....None at Walgreens, CVS, Home Depot, Lowes either.....

Of course, lots of it has been grabbed up by TONS of vendors on Amazon and Ebay who are price gouging at that...
