How much do you tip?

For your online grocery orders? I've been tipping anywhere from 10-20%. Depends on whether they've listened to what I want to replace an item with.

For example, I usually ask for boneless, skinless chicken thighs. If those aren't available, any chicken thighs will do. However, there are a couple of times I've gotten chicken leg quarters. Not quite what I want.

It depends on which service I am using. Aldi uses InstantCart & I tip 15%. The other place that delivers uses Door Dash & there is no tip option available. I give the delivery person $10-15 depending on the size of the order.

i really prefer going to the grocery stores or sams club myself.

I have been using Kroger's grocery pickup and they do not allow tipping.

I have only done the delivery with Kroger once and I think I tipped something like 15%.

I have used the pick up with Kroger, but as @customerqvc2 said they do not allow tipping. For me, I actually prefer the pickup. But that is because I live very close to the grocery store and I can usually plan well in advance to place the order so it doesn't matter if it takes several days to get a date and time. That certainly might not be the case for others.

if you say any chicken thighs will do and then lower the tip because you get chicken leg quarters well they're both dark meat? I don't think I should comment any further

Where I live, home delivery is not available. But, last time I picked up an order at Kroger, I tipped about 15 percent. The young lady who brougnt me my order and loaded into my suv was very sweet and appreciative. Dh said they are probably not suppose to take tips, but I will continue to tip them.

When I picked up my groceries from Wal-Mart I tried to give the girl $10 but she said they are not allowed to take it. She said they have cameras. I think they should let those that want to tip to tip them. They are working hard filling orders.

I ordered from Costco Instacart and they encourage tipping their shopper. I didn't realize that there are 2 people who often deliver the order so I don't know if the shopper splits the tip or not.

I was impressed with the shopper, have to say. The order came to $125 and I tipped at the time of purchase (which they ask you to do) $25. Between that, the fee for instacart, the delivery fee and the increase in cost for each product OVER that Costco sells them for, I spent MORE than what my order actually came to. Won't use them again just due to the cost.

She probably doesn't want the drumstick. I don't like drumsticks either. I think they are only good for boiling up stock to make soup. Other than that, the meat is barely edible, all stringy & gristle.

@FiddleDeeDee I had the exact same experience with Instacart and Costco. Exhoribantly expensive with fees and tips in addition to the elevated cost of the order.

I decided to go to Costco and Sprouts (and other stores when the need arises) ONCE a week and tip my maintenance man between $10-20) to cart everything up to my home on the 2nd floor (when I have heavy waters it's always $20).

I'm in Phoenix and the temps are already in the triple digits so I consider what I tip to be a bargain.

I'm doing fine, thanks! The only time Ieave the house is to go to dialysis. My nephew does NOT want me to go grocery shopping at all. I do ask him for certain items when he goes but I don't want him to go just for me as he's 45. Not old, but no longer a baby . His wife is a nurse. And they have an 11 year old.

Hope you and your family are all okay!

Oh, and to the one who said "nothing" about getting leg quarters instead of thighs: try cutting legs into pieces for stir fry. You get almost no meat. And I don't really like paying for bone and skin.

I ocasionally order from ALDI through Instacart. I tip 20%. Tipping is good karma.

I've been getting delivery since this started using store delivery or Instacart. We're spending a lot more on groceries but we've sort of agreed that's what our stimulus money is for so we give really good tips.

I order Shoprite delivery for my mother. I usually add the tip to the order, so my mother doesn't have to worry about it. I tip based on how much I order and if I order heavy things like cat litter. It's somewhere between 10-20%.

I pickup at PicknSave. I don't know if there is a top policy. It never occurred to me to tip.

I did the pick-up at the grocery store and she, too, said they dont' accept tips.

I also have used instacart for the grocery store and Costco. Ridiculously expensive and not something I would use weekly, but certainly every now and then it is definitely worth it to me. I tip 20%. I used them three times and each time they were fabulous.

I have only used inta cart, which in itself is a little expensive to use. But, worth it to me considering what they are doing. I tip 15% in the online cart, then I slip them some cash when the come

I am beyond grateful for anyone who helps me out with shopping because I am choosing not to go into the stores(even though I enjoy grocery shopping) I don't want to get sick and put my kids through that_I'm doing my best to stay well. Anyway, I tip a lot -20%-and I take anything that they bring even if it's not perfect-everyone is doing their best. I had this same policy with my late husband. I knew he was trying to follow my list I don't think this is a time to be too fussy.
