Wearing masks & glasses - fog issues?

For those of you that wear glasses and masks when out, do you experience your glasses fogging up? mine do! Do you know of any tricks to keep your glasses from fogging when you breathe?

@Goldengate8361 : yes. Try folding a tissue and place over the nose under the mask, per internet information. I didn't receive my mask until last week and had not experienced this yet. I folded the mask over my nose, folded about 1/4 inch while out and returned home and did a search. Southern Bee

I heard if you wash your glasses with shaving cream they will not fog up. Also, I read if you put a piece of tissue under the nose portion of your mask it will block the condensation from your breath, keeping your glasses fog free. I must say though, I have not tried either one! 🤷‍♀️

Yes, my sunglasses fog up terribly. I stitched a pipe cleaner in top of my mask so the nose area would fit snugly. That did help alot. Their is an anti fog spray for glasses. I heard on the Today show to wash your glasses in shaving foam, rinse, and let them air dry. The shaving cream leaves a film and the glasses should not fog up. I haven't tried that remedy yet.

Yes, mine fog up. They fogged up when I put a kleenex in the mask also. Plus, when I had the Kleenex in there, I felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen. It was like panic city for me.

So I wear the mask now when I'm out, without the Kleenex.

Your mask is not fitting tight around your nose so air is escaping there. It really limits the effectiveness of the mask.

See if you can fit it better by your nose.

I keep trying to post what I read with no luck, lets try this again

A report I read suggests washing glasses with soapy water to prevent them from getting foggy. According to the report: "Immediately before wearing a face mask, wash the glasses with soapy water and shake off the excess.

"Then, let the glasses air dry or gently dry off the lenses with a soft tissue before putting them back on. Now the spectacle lenses should not mist up when the face mask is worn."

I tried each one. Every solution worked for me. Take the one that appeals to you most.

I bought a mask with a nose wire so I can fit it against my cheeks and nose. Plus, I wear my glasses OVER my mask. No fogging up for me!

This is what I do as well

Takes a minute to get it just right but it works for me

Also when it fits correctly, I can breathe better.

I had this problem first time I wore my mask. Then I read a tip to put mask on first...then glasses. Tried it and it worked for me.
