WHAT WHERE CONFUSED....

Is it morning...is it Monday...or just July...is it still 2020...did Amazon deliver the 50 pack of snickers yet...where are my friends...is it bedtime...the snacks are gone...I need more chocolate...is my State open or closed...where am I!?????

I relate, I am dazed and confused also. Since every day is the same basically, it is hard to keep track of dates and time. But than retirement does that too!

I've been that way since I retired. LOL DH has been working from home and he has to ask me "What day is it?"

@Preds ...I retired in 2000, earlier than planned, my bad back got in the way of enjoying the job I loved. I was doing great but now I'm checking my phone or computer for the day and date, hell of a way to live, we'll all be blithering idiots by the time this is over.

I agree @Lindsays Grandma . I retired because of Cancer and it was heartbreaking. Tried working from home at first, but finally had to go. I was a workaholic and they didn't want me gone. LOL (Still keep track of what's happening at work.) That was a couple of years ago and I'm just now adjusting. Or, I think I am.

I retired in 2016 and worked parttime until December 2019. I now have to look at my phone or tablet to know the date or day of the week. It's funny how that happened because I used to be Type A about everything. It's been a good growing lesson for me and I wish I had been just a little bit more like this during my career.

I like your post -- it's quite humorous but there is certainly a grain of truth in there! I admit that since I retired I have had times when I forget the date or what day of the week it is! Now, with this virus thing and schedules being vastly altered, I am really mixing up the days! I was adhering to doing a few things on certain days -- laundry on this day, food shopping on that day, etc. Now, it's like I'm all mixed up! I don't like this feeling! I don't want to have to be clocked in the way I used to be when I worked, but a sense of continuity is good I think.

When my kids were toddlers 40 years ago, I took a big piece of poster paper and markers, drew out the calendar for the month with days/dates labeled. Each night before bed, we'd place a gold star on that day to signify it was over and when we woke up, it was to a new day...labeled with day and date. Well, Ladies. I 'm thinking I'm making one for May today....for me!!!! Lol

Got this covered. The iPad says it is 10:51 AM on Sun Apr 26 and I see daylight. Whew another day is in order.
