I see so many posters, saying they won't feel comfortable being out and about, until a vaccine is available and there is wide spread testing.

Regarding the vaccine, I wonder, when one is released, will you be eager to get the shot? Do you get the annual flu vaccine, now?

I read an article, about the possibility of the next flu season, being worse, with outbreaks of both, Covid 19, and the regular influenza. The article made the point of how important it will be, for people to get vaccinated against influenza, since it will be possible to get both viruses, and it's unlikely a Covid-19 vaccine will be out that soon.

Imagine how much worse the strain, on the medical community, could be, with two viruses, in full swing.
The thought of, especially, vulnerable folks, getting both viruses, is truly scary.

I always get the flu shot, I would welcome a Covid vaccine, and, if I developed influenza, I would definitely make use, of the anti virals, that are available.

Thoughts?

I have never had a bad reaction from an annual flu shot, so I will probably continue to get them. If a COVID-19 vaccine is available, I will weigh the information from all sources and make a decision.

I have COPD and always get a flu shot, so I'll get the other also, when available. I wonder though, it usually takes years and years for meds to be developed and then okayed by the FDA, so how will they get this out and be sure it's right?

I have had flu twice and I get the flu shot EVERY YEAR without fail. May not be 100% effective but if you do get flu after getting the flu shot it wont be as severe. Both times I had flu were before I started getting the shot. Since getting the shot I have not had flu. As far as getting the Covid vaccine, like others, I will have to do my research before making a decision.

Just because a person has never had the flu in way means that that person is somehow immune for life. It's the luck of the draw.

We always get one and have never had anything but mild reactions. It's not 100 percent, but even if you do get the flu, it seems to be milder.

As for the virus, if it is as well vetted as all other vaccines, then yes, we'll get it. I hope that soon we will get some definitive answer as to whether someone who tests positive for Covid has immunity, and if so, for how long. To me, given that my daughter and family have recovered from Covid, it is uppermost in my mind as to whether we can be them again.

I've gotten flu shots of regualrly for so many years now that I can't remember what year it was I didn't.

I will have the vaccine once the scientists are more certain than they are now that they've come upon one that has a chance of working for the masses safely. I'm not thinking they will find a 100% barrier, a final solution that will eradicate the coronavirus forever and ever.

I know what I have to lose if they are not successful, if our medical personnel have to work through another h-ll like that they're in now. In my mind, accepting a vetted vaccine should help me and them.
