Spectrum botnet letter?

Did anyone get this letter recently? I ran my AVG today and no malware. I will also run Malwarebytes maybe tomorrow. I need to download it. I have used it before.

The letter said a tablet, cell phone, or computer was detected on our modem and we should run AntiBot Scanner from Spectrum.net/security-suite. Which I did NOT do.

I called Spectrum and there was a 26 minute wait. It probably is a scam and I usually just throw something like that away.

My son works his Medical Billing service from our home. My friend said to use the router built in to the Spectrum modem and remove my Linksys Router. He said it was faster. My router was bought in 2012 and never gave me a problem.

If you go to Spectrum's site you can see that it's available with your internet subscription. You don't have to download it if you're happy with AVG.
