I hemmed hubbies pants on the outside

I had the hem pinned up on the outside so he could try them on and well you guessed it I forgot to turn the hem back, the pants sat for 3 weeks before I started to hem them and oh no they were hemmed inside out. Oh well I guess I have another job to do

I made a similar mistake on my homemade mask and all the unfinished edges are on the outside! It worked, anyway. I have masks from Etsy being delivered this week.

@I am still oxox 😂😂. At least you can sew! I took home economics in middle school, and am still a stranger to a sewing machine. My mother laughed at all of my sewing experiments, so needless to say, she was my seamstress while my children were growing up.😊

@I am still oxox When I first got married DH wanted his Jeans turned up - me not being any kind of seamstress turned them up and stapled them up with our staple machine to just the right length. Job done.

This was in the old days when staples went ‘rusty’ which we discovered after several washings of the Jeans when the staples kind of undone themselves. DH said he was lucky he didn’t get ‘blood poisoning’ from all the scratches on his legs!

Aah, the good old days lol!

Sounds like something that would happen to me too! I really do not like sewing and it seems as though whenever I eventually try to tackle the "to do" pile, there is always something that does not go right.
