Tax Incentive Money has Been Deposited

The tax incentive money has been deposited in my account, although it's marked "Pending". I'll have to save it for my broken tooth. But, if I have any left (doubtful) after all this is over, it's a trip to Hobby Lobby.

I just checked and I haven't had anything added to my account yet.

At least my federal tax refund was there! The state refund is always really s-l-o-w......., but I am happy to get it at a later date!

If you have received tax refunds the past couple years and had the refund direct deposited into a bank account you should have your stimulus now or within the next week. I think the next group will be those who have had to pay with their tax return and therefore would not have direct deposit information on file at the IRS. The IRS website as of today will have a link where those people can provide direct deposit info which will expedite their stimulus payment. Otherwise they will have to wait weeks for a check to be mailed. I believe Social Security recipients are next and many receive their SS checks via direct deposit and that is the account where their stimulus payment will be sent. If they don't use direct deposit they will have to wait for a check in the mail. Those who pay no income tax and those who do not file at all will probably end up having to contact the IRS otherwise it might take months before they are identified and receive a check. Actually, anyone who is unclear how this works should read the information on the IRS homepage (irs.gov).

Woke up to a big fat balance in my checking account! Social Security AND the stimulus money were both deposited overnight!

I'm going to use part of the stimulus grant for a new computer to replace my old quirky one. I've been promising myself the computer upgrade but did not want to spend money since the old one still works, but it's slow.

I have a couple of small projects to see to around the house, so I can hire someone with the rest of the money and get some home improvement completed.

Both my purchase and the hiring will contribute to the economy and my well being. I'm grateful I am able to pay my bills as always and the stimulus money is serendipity, not crucial. It's not that way for so many people and that is sad.

We just saw that ours was deposited early this morning.

We don't have any plans for it except to just hold on to it. Luckily, we are both still getting paid, but my husband also has his own business on the side that is being impacted by what is going on. This money will definitely help.

I'm expecting a paper check so it'll probably be awhile. I'm going to donate part of mine to some food banks in my area. Then I'm going to buy some new sheets and a new summer nightgown. The rest will go in savings.

I got presents from everyone this birthday season. My tax money has returned home and it couldn't have been on a better day. Two weeks notice from my job in the morning and a fat check overnight. Moving on...
