What will you be doing with your check? I have no idea what I'll do with mine, but just thinking of going into a store to "look around" makes me happy.

Bought a new computer to start up my self publishing business. My first real computer in about 15 years. Super excited to finally do something with all these drafts and hopefully start a new career. :smileyvery-happy

I always said I'd love to find out where I could go if I worked as hard on my own dreams as I have everyone else's.

@coffee drinker I will put mine into savings just in case we have any more surprises.
Good thing Marshall's is closed.. they always managed to temp me with something.

Banking most of it....but I will take part of it and just cant wait to spend it at Hobby Lobby and Home Goods, and have a nice lunch with friends somewhere.....I miss browsing and shopping in stores too....

I’ve been very tight financially because of unexpected expenses. I’ve been doing very well paying bills off and I have a balance of $977 on a loan. I’ve been paying $200 to finish faster but I’m using the money to pay off loan and use the extra money towards another bill. I have 3 left. My goal to finish all 3 including truck note Dec 2021.

Thank you so much. I had to use my savings, it’s been rough but all my bills have been made timely and just knowing that I’m almost out is a great feeling.

Forgot to add, because of stimulus check will finish 5 months earlier.

My modest budget allows me to live on my SS check every month.

For large unexpected expenses, I hit the savings

So this check will go toward tires and a new floor in my hall.

I still have my small emergency fund.

I'm taking my tax refund & stimulus check and putting it aside to help pay my property tax bill this summer. This way I won't have to take it out of our account.

I am wishing you good luck on that point. I to will pay off a debt I have. The rest I will spend with a few small businesses in my city. Some have been close for awhile and will need help when they open.
