I have a cedar deck that was made in 1999. I have regularly maintained it because I live in the Pacific NW where it's rainy and damp 9 months out of the year.

I've noticed signs over the last year or two that parts of it are starting to ROT. What would you estimate should be the life of something like this? I have regularly maintained it and refinished it so I'm surprised that it's eroding away. Should I be?

TIA
